Camilla Bertolini holds a PhD in Marine Biology and has 8 years of post-doc experience in the field of benthic ecology and restoration. In her years in the academic field she enjoyed conducting outreach activities targeting multiple age groups, interacting with stakeholders, collaborating with architects and in her spare time she enjoyed writing stories. She won an outreach grant from the British Ecological Society to engage sailing children with biodiversity in marinas. She is now out of academia, consulting for a start up that works on sustanability with a "sea verticality' and working / volunteering on multiple front to engage children with the ocean.
