Fading Blue uses the restoration of the traditional Mediterranean vessel "Odina" as a living symbol to explore the decline of blue fish species and artisanal fishing along the Catalan coast, combining participatory art, scientific research, and community engagement to inspire sustainable relationships with the sea and the blue economy. Our main activities include an analysis of the decline of artisanal fisheries, the support to cross-generational Odina's restoration activities and a local community plastics cleanup action, the co-creation of a participatory mural, co-design of a swimsuit with recovered materials and plastics from the Sea, a gender-inclusive artistic swiming perfomance and a documentary.
